Classrooms and Office
The Life Health Science Building 1.602 series is based on a classroom where I taught and explores how I experienced the architectural space/room and how I interpreted and was effected by the space.
The architectural view of the adjacent buildings would change depending on where I stood and the daily weather conditions; the sky, changing and unchanging; walls that were some days impenetrable and other days nonexistent; an entry door with a window that had no view; never determining the exact hue of the neutral white walls, sometimes warm sometimes cool!
The G-115 Classroom Series explores the visual phenomenon of a mundane room.
The G-115 pieces show the wooden classroom door and the view through its window, across the hallway, through the window in the G-119 classroom door, across that classroom, and out through its window to an abstract landscape or an art history view (Japonisme).
Office PB1: Remembrance of a shared office space that became an office only for me.
